It's unlikely you'll find a high-quality, purebred Shar-Pei puppy for just 900 yuan. Generally, the market price for a purebred Shar-Pei ranges from 2,000 to 4,000 yuan. Puppies priced under 1,000 yuan are often not purebred and may have other issues. These lower priced Shar-Pei puppies might have a less desirable appearance and may not be up to breed standard.

A Shar-Pei puppy of average quality, and not necessarily purebred, might be found for around 600 yuan. However, these puppies often come with potential health or temperament problems, so we do not recommend purchasing them. A puppy with a decent pedigree, though possibly with an average appearance, might cost around 2,500 yuan. If you are looking for a purebred with excellent physical characteristics, be prepared to pay upwards of 5,000 yuan. Show-quality Shar-Peis, which excel in all areas, can easily cost over 10,000 yuan. If you're looking for a family pet and aren't too concerned about breed standard, a Shar-Pei priced around 1,000 yuan could be a good option.
The Shar-Pei originated in the Dali Town area of Nanhai, Guangdong Province, China, and is one of the world's famous fighting dog breeds. They generally stand 46-56 cm tall, weigh 22-27 kg, and have a lifespan of 11-12 years. Their body shape is quite unique with a hippo-like head, a mouth resembling a roof tile, triangular eyes, and a bluish-black tongue. Shar-Pei puppies are known for their abundant wrinkles, which give them their name: "sand skin dog".
