What Cat Breeds Have Long Tails?

Many cat breeds boast long tails, making it challenging to pinpoint a breed solely based on this feature. For instance, the Devon Rex, British Shorthair, American Shorthair, Siamese, Sphynx, American Curl, and Norwegian Forest Cat are all examples of breeds that can have notably long tails. It's a common trait across various cat types, so a long tail alone isn't a definitive indicator of breed.

Several breeds are known for having long tails, including the Ragdoll (originally from the United States), the Norwegian Forest Cat (from Norway), the Maine Coon (from Maine, USA), and the Persian Cat (originally from Afghanistan). Even some domestic cats, like the Shandong Lion Cat from China, are known for their thick and long tails. These breeds often share characteristics like larger body sizes and long, thick fur.

How to Tell If a Cat Recognizes You as Its Owner

1. A cat that sees you as its owner will constantly seek your company. After eating, they'll often approach you for cuddles, naps, or affection. When you prepare to leave, they may rub against your legs or follow you, showing their reluctance to part from you. They do not want their owner to leave them.

2. Cats often purr when they are happy. Since cats are generally cautious, they don't often show their affection to people. When a cat purrs near you, it's a strong indication that they are content and comfortable, regarding you as their owner.

3. Cats like to have physical contact with their owner. A cat that trusts you will expose its belly, a vulnerable area, only when they feel very secure. Cats will also rub their heads against their owner, which is another sign that they recognize and love you.Source:5D Pet World
