The Psychology of a Golden Retriever After Being Hit

When a Golden Retriever is hit, it will likely realize it has done something wrong and feel sad about being punished. However, Golden Retrievers are not vengeful. They usually reconcile with their owners after a short period. Golden Retrievers are very intelligent dogs, and it's better for owners to educate them rather than resort to physical punishment.

Golden Retrievers are highly intelligent and perceptive. When they do something wrong and are hit, they may recognize their mistake and try to correct their behavior immediately. However, in many cases, they may quickly forget the lesson and repeat the same mistake after some time. It is important to be consistent with training.

Golden Retrievers have rich emotions and express their happiness, anger, and sadness. Therefore, when they are hit, they will feel sad and become sulky, often with a droopy face. Despite this, they do not hold grudges. They might start playfully nudging their owners again after a short while. Positive reinforcement is much more effective.

If a Golden Retriever is frequently hit by its owner, it may gradually develop a fear of them, becoming scared at the sight of their owner. Over time, this kind of environment can cause a Golden Retriever to become timid, cowardly, and afraid to oppose its owner, behaving very respectfully in their presence. This can damage the bond between pet and owner.

When your Golden Retriever is jumping around and knocking things over at home, you can first make a loud thumping sound on the floor, and then gently pat its head. This will let them know that their behavior has caused displeasure to you. It is important not to strike a dog's stomach as this area is very sensitive and using too much force can cause internal organ damage. Avoid stepping on a dog's tail as this can easily cause tail bone fractures. Focus on positive training methods to encourage the behavior you desire.Follow us for updates:Pet Training
