Are Chinese Crested Dogs at 4000 Yuan Expensive?

A price of 4000 Yuan for a Chinese Crested Dog is not considered expensive. Generally, the price for a purebred Chinese Crested Dog ranges from 2000 to 7000 Yuan, and dogs within this price range typically have average quality.

The price can fluctuate significantly depending on various factors. The relatively higher prices are due to the breed not being very common in China. However, when acquiring a pet, price shouldn't be the only consideration; the dog's overall health and temperament are equally important. When selecting a puppy, pay attention to their energy levels and avoid purchasing those that appear lethargic. Exercise caution with overly active dogs as well, as unscrupulous breeders might use stimulants to make them appear more lively. It's crucial to choose a dog with a healthy and balanced demeanor.

Characteristics of Chinese Crested Dogs

Chinese Crested Dogs are mostly hairless, with only a small amount of hair on their head, tail, and lower legs. Their skin is smooth, soft, and free of wrinkles, feeling warm to the touch. Their skin color is typically a pink base with darker patches, usually blue or coffee-colored, which is a distinctive feature of this breed. They have a long head, a slightly rounded forehead, and lean cheeks, giving their muzzle a longer appearance. The nose color complements the skin patches. Their eyes are chestnut or yellow, with purple-red or pale red eye rims. The hair on their head is coarse, either lying flat, standing upright, or drooping down, with the best being dense and fluffy. They have large, mostly erect ears with some hair. The forelegs are long and straight, while the hind legs are noticeably curved with sparse hair. The lower two-thirds of their tail has hair, slightly curved but not curled. They stand 23-35 centimeters tall and weigh 3-5 kilograms, with a lifespan of 12-15 years.Don’t miss out on this:Pet Breeding
